My Life As Miss Kabba

“Kabba people are good, friendly, and accommodating. We have a beautiful and robust culture that entails Masquerade festivals and others. We have 3 clans. Which are, Omo-Odo’s, Ilajo’s and Ebimajila’s”

Pretty as ever, Biola Johnson is a proud born daughter of Kabba, in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

She was a beauty star in her days haven won pageantry competitions that made her Miss Kabba, Miss Excellence and other beauty competitions in her time.

Recalling the experience of those days and how she emerged winner, she simply said “I was able to meet up with the criterion required.”

There were six angels in the competition but she excelled with the title

“Miss Kabba also known as Miss Fantasy or Miss Excellent

She said that part of the attraction then was an attachment of monthly salary

The pageantry was organized by Ace Club of Kabba in collaboration with Kogi State Government.

Kogi state is reputed for producing beauty pageants and has a grooming  competition for little Miss Kogi.

Biola Johnson treasured the opportunity given her by reason of being Miss Kabba to meet the then Governor of Kogi State,  His Excellency Idris lbrahim.

As an Ambassador Biola spoke about the culture , beliefs and some myth about Kabba people

Growing up, Abiola Johnson said that she attended St. Mary Primary, School Kabba, Community Comprehensive College Ekinrin- Adde,  Kogi State and later Kwara State University, Malete. Kwara State where she studied Mass Communication and bagged a degree

She said her happiest moment was the day her sister got married with the fanfare attached to the celebration but sadly, the darkest moment in her life was when she lost her precious mother. “May her soul rest in peace.”

Like a glowing light, the queen’s beauty continue to shine as she remains valuable to the Nigerian society and especially Kogi state.

The pretty Queen who said that she dumped Journalism for business and is doing very well in her new found vocation.

To the upcoming generations of young girls, she said “life is beautiful. Be focus and be prayerful.”
